allpago wins Merchant Risk Council MRC Technology People’s Choice Award in Las Vegas

It’s party time at allpago as we are celebrating winning the very prestigious People’s Choice Award at the Merchant Risk Council (MRC) Technology Awards in Las Vegas.

Our CEO, Philipp Bock, collected the award last March 15th in the ceremony celebrated at the Aria Hotel & Casino during MRC Vegas 2017.

The annual MRC Technology Awards recognizes innovative providers that make significant contributions in the fraud, payments and risk industries.

This award distinguishes the progress we’ve made improving access for e-commerce merchants to Latin America’s $78 billion B2C e-commerce market and enabling millions of people across Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia, without international payment cards, to shop online from global merchants.

A large part of getting to the final of the People’s Choice Award relied on winning a public vote and support from the industry, plus we were up against some of the biggest financial and technology companies in the world, therefore winning this award means a huge amount to us.

allpago at MRC Vegas 2017

MRC Vegas has been a great event for allpago this year. In addition to winning the People’s Choice Award, Philipp joined Stuart Rowe from Symantec and Jordan Navarro-Abreu from Microsoft for a panel discussion on opportunities, challenges and rewards in Latin America, and conducted, alongside Franz Guttenberg from Payments Exchange, the MRC’s Payments 201 workshop about global payments and regulation.

We also hosted our traditional dinner- including some of our best customers and business partners as guests – with a taste of Latin America at the Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chao.

This year MRC Vegas was a success for us with many activities and receiving recognition from the industry.
