Together with The Plug-In Network, allpago recently carried out a special workshop hosted at their Head Office in Berlin and was a great success.
The workshop called The Plug-In Network Summer Workshop, brought senior representatives from the payments industry together who gave a number of insightful presentations.
They included Long Wong, Product Manager at WeChat, who spoke about cross-border payments. WeChat is one of the leading apps in China and is similar to WhatsApp. WeChat allows users to make payments and is increasing its market share. A demo is available, as is more information on the app.
Another presentation was given by Irene Brime, Managing Director of CashShield, who updated the audience on the latest anti-fraud technology, including their Comprehensive Approach Machine Learning.
allpago’s CBDO, Javier Vallaure, also gave a presentation and he focused on best practices for payment processing in LATAM.
Vallaure said afterwards: “This was a great opportunity for senior figures within the payments industry to come together, meet and discuss developments which will affect us all going forward. We look forward to holding more such workshops in the future.”
Around 20 people attended the workshop.
The team at allpago were grateful to the Plug-In Network for organising the event and allowing members of the payments industry to connect, learn and hear from others. The idea is for players in the industry to mix and share experiences and insights on a variety of markets.
