Money 20/20 Europe kicks off in Copenhagen on Monday and it’s going to be a busy week. If you see us handing out soft drinks in the exhibition hall, don’t be surprised. We’re not shifting from payments into bartending – it’s just our way of explaining some of the alternative options that exist around the world, both in payment methods and refreshment choices.
The big payment brands can be found almost anywhere, like the biggest soft drink brands. But every country has its own preferences and its own range of alternatives. Sparletta Crème Soda may not be a name you know, but it’s extremely popular in South Africa. And while you may not be familiar with Przelewy 24 or Oxxo, they’re widely-used payment methods in Poland and Mexico. Understanding and offering local payment methods is essential for any online merchant wanting to succeed in cross-border commerce, and explaining the alternatives is part of our expertise.
Simon Black, our CEO, will be participating in the ‘Merchant acquiring: Growth opportunities arising from changing retailer needs’ panel discussion on Tuesday afternoon at 3:45pm in Track Room 2. And you can drop by stand A10 any time to find out more about the collection, reconciliation and processing services we provide, our prepaid card programs for corporate customers, pick up a copy of our ‘Little guide to the world of alternatives’ and enjoy a refreshing taste of soft drinks like Spezi, Guaraná Antarctica, or Uludag Gazoz.
