Elo

Founded in 2011 by three of the country’s major banks, Elo is now one of Brazil’s biggest
credit cards. It offers a range of different cards for different consumer segments. While some
of these support cross-border payments, many only allow transactions in Brazilian reals. To
offer Elo at checkout, PSPs must work with a specialist Latin-American acquirer.
